TOWELS:

  • Wash and dry your towels before using them for the first time. Washing the towels first will remove any manufacturing finishes and allows maximum absorbency.
  • Avoid using fabric softeners on toweling, as it will reduce the absorbency of the fibers/fibres.
  • Give your towels a shake when taking them out of the washer. This will help fluff the terry loops that aid absorbency.
  • Don't iron towels; this will reduce absorbency.
  • Line or warm tumble dry.
  • Use warm or cold water for washing colored/coloured towels.
  • Use regular washing detergents and never use bleach on colored towels.
  • Avoid hot water washes as this could fade the magnificent colors in your towels over time.

Your Ziporah Lifestyle towels may “shed” some cotton fibers/fibres for the first few uses. This is a normal shedding due to the high-quality cotton and the high density of the terry weave. Cotton is a natural fiber/fibre and it is normal for new towels to shed some loose fibers/fibres.

Drying: While tumble- drying will make the towel fluffy, do not overdo the drying, as the heat from the dryer can damage the integrity of the cotton threads. We recommend using a lower heat setting occasionally or alternate between natural air and heat drying.

Absorbency: Enviro Tip! To maximize the absorbency of a towel, add a cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle, about every six weeks, to restore the towel to full absorbency. The vinegar removes any excess detergent, which can affect the towels’ absorbency.

Pulled Threads: As all our towels are woven, a pulled loop will not unravel the towel. If you catch the towel and pull a loop, cut off the pulled loop with a pair of scissors.

BRASS, STEEL OR OTHER METAL PRODUCTS:

  • Each piece is sophisticated and individual: it will show the hand- beaten hallmarks of its Maker. Variations may occur between products due to the handmade processes utilized for their creation plus the nature of the materials used.
  • The difference between solid brass and brass plating is this: solid brass refers to a piece that is made purely of brass; from its core to its exterior. Brass-plated items have a core of zinc or stainless steel with a thin layer of brass that has been electroplated to it.
  • The best reason why solid brass is superior to plated brass is its durability. Brass is a lot less susceptible to cracking under pressure; brass will hold up to the challenge! Due to its greater durability, brass can take the wear and tear that you put it through-over years, decades or Centuries!
  • Surface tarnish, spots and patina are characteristic of any Brass item. Tarnish is a natural process so if you choose to remove it, please use a high-quality, gentle brass tarnish remover. Better still, use dry, soft cloth and elbow grease to remove any tarnish on your piece.
  • Simply wipe clean with a soft cloth rinsed in lukewarm water.
  • If you wish to hand wash this item: use only lukewarm, soapy water and a very gentle detergent.
  • Dry with a soft cloth.
